Inside the Impact Labs, 3D Printing Center, there is a new center called Metal Point. It completes the several abilities of the plastic/polymer center by unlocking the door on metal 3D printing. This is through a millionaire venture from Thyssenkrupp that took two DMP metal AM devices from 3D Systems and others.
The new metal 3D printing discovery hub will now concentrate on making different parts, products, and molds. The latest hub was inaugurated in a recent visit to Israel by Dr. Alexander Orellano, the Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems member of the board of directors. This is according to a report by Jerusalem Post.
Metal Point will gain from the support of the Economy Ministry and the Israeli Institute of Metals at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. It will also gain support from the Manufacturers Association of Israel and other agencies that support discovery in exceptional production.
“We regard the economic strengthening of Israel with innovation and entrepreneurship as an important goal,” Orellano noted this in a press release.
“The establishment of a first-of-its-kind 3D metal-printing innovation center will allow Israeli start-ups and industrial companies to enhance their position in the international market. The strategic collaboration with Impact Labs is a significant example of ThyssenKrupp’s commitment to the long-term relationship with Israel.” He said.
Following the manufacture of products and parts in 3D metal printers, different opportunities are now, for the first time, accessible to engineers, designers, hardware developers in a more available makerspace station such as Impact Labs
The different metal and raw materials and complementary processing abilities make the hub exceptional in Israel. It also offers holistic and exceptional solutions to development and research companies or teams, and individuals.
These are those who want to produce prototypes, critical sections and small series of the sector. Such are the things that lead to a short and high-quality stock chain.
Metal Point will as well hold and make practical and professional courses in 3D printing in general and metal 3D printing specifically. The meaningful benefit of in-depth knowledge of metallurgy and 3D printing field in metal which consists of hands-on experience. This is on the manufacture floor and training and using the devices themselves is priceless.
The Metal Innovation Center will host many cycles every year of a fundamental metal printing program and an advanced metal printing program.
