Norwegian Defense Research spinoff Fieldmade and the Swiss safety company Urban Alps are collaborating to 3D print high-security Stealth Keys. Clients in the energy or military industry can buy Stealth Keys on demand. They can be delivered to them in a day, through remote Fieldmade micro-factories.

Through Fieldmades micro-plants, Urban Alps may reduce the transportation time of Stealth Keys down to a single day.
“This collaboration marks the beginning of a new industrial era, where high-security mechanical keys are shipped digitally and turned into physical products at the customer’s location, no matter how remote the location – no shipping costs, no customs, immediately, and safe from unauthorized duplication”, said Urban Alps founder and CEO Alejandro Ojeda.
CAD and IP security are secured by use of exclusive software for exclusive 3D printing minus sending a CAD file.
All high-safety keys available now are made at some of large companies. Requests may take weeks to be performed, based on how far the place of the buyer is. Another issue is the peril of key copying. Unapproved reproductions of most classic “safety keys” may be created quite quickly. This is by use of a smartphone, an application, and an affordable plastic printer.
To meet the demand for raised security Swiss company Urban Alps AG leveraged 3D printing procedures to expand the Stealth Key. This is a license-protected automatic key that has absolutely hidden security characteristics.
Therefore, it offers the ultimate key copy shield. This becomes an ideal match for Fieldmade’s business prints that focus on providing production solutions for expanded use.
“Fieldmade’s aim is to find innovative ways to bring more value to the customer, not just a revolutionary key but the benefits that novel additive manufacturing entails, for instance, a digital supply chain”, explains Fieldmade founder and CEO Christian Duun Norberg.
“This cooperation is the perfect example of how two innovative companies can complement each other to deliver truly secure products in a matter of hours to customers with high security and time-sensitive needs”, remarks Ojeda.
Fieldmade is the future producer and present client of the Stealth Key system. This is because they chose Stealth Technology as their preferred lock mechanism for their micro-plants.
