3D Systems is among the biggest additive manufacturing firms in the universe. The firm has collaborated with CollPlant Biotechnologies. The aim is to together develop scaffold and tissue bioprinting procedures for third party associates. CollPlant Biotechnologies a developer of exclusive rhCollagen (recombinant human collagen) BioInk technology. The technology is presently utilized for organ and tissue 3D bioprinting.

The two firms have authorized a joint expansion deal meant to take a central role. This is enhancing and expediting findings in the biomedical sector.
CollPlant and 3D Systems identified an unmet business demand. This is for a complete solution to make scaffolds and tissues for regenerative medicinal processes. The firms plan to make combined 3D bioprinting solutions consisting of state-of-the-art 3D bioprinters and BioInks. The aim is to create scaffolds and tissues.
In agreement with the partnership deal, both firms may utilize a mix of CollPlant’s BioInks and 3D Systems’ printers. They may also utilize the latest formulations of rhCollagen-based BioInks mutually created by the firms. This is all for their own items and also for stationing with third parties.
Chuck Hull, Chief Technology Officer, and Co-Founder at 3D Systems stated that 3D Systems is thrilled to collaborate with CollPlant. They are excited to work jointly to advance innovative bioprinted tissue and scaffold technologies. He said this when commenting on how the firms will collaborate and grow groundbreaking bioprinted tissues and scaffold technologies.
“We believe 3D printing to be a key technology for regenerative medicine, and this collaboration is one of many we are entering to play an integral role in this exciting field. Combining our innovative 3D printing technologies with CollPlant’s rhCollagen based BioInks has the potential to make a significant impact in bioprinting and regenerative medicine,” revealed Mr. Hull.
“We strongly believe that our proven rhCollagen is the finest building block for regenerative medicine tissues and scaffolds available today,” said Yehiel Tal, Chief Executive Officer of CollPlant.
Tal also said that since they are the best 3D printing solution firm, 3D Systems is the ideal partner for them.
“Together, we can offer the best combined technology for 3D bioprinting. We are honored to have established this important collaboration and we look forward to working together to advance 3D bioprinting technology to the commercial phase,” explained Tal on partnering with 3D Systems.
