BEAMIT is an Italy based 3D printing service provider. The company published the purchase of stake in PRES-X. This is a startup that specializes in 3D printing post-processing. Their venture in PRES-X will allow them to increase its knowledge of 3D printing and also its offering. It will also help reinforce its place in the 3D printing European AM.

According to reports, PRES-X is the premier firm in Europe. It has the ability to carry out High-Pressure Heat Treatments on additively manufactured pieces. The capability of this young company is because of the QIH60 system.
The firm obtained the system from Sweden-based Quintus Technologies. This system set up at the Italy facility of PRES-X can carry out Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). It can also carry out concurrent heat processing for metal additively manufactured pieces.
“We are extremely pleased to announce this deal and partnership with PRES-X, which aims to leverage synergies and further strengthen both companies’ position on the metal AM market,” stated the CEO of BEAMIT, Michele Antolotti.
“We see the need to simplify the AM supply chain, to make it more efficient, including highly advanced special processes. We are convinced that this will further enhance the value we offer to our customers.”
BEAMIT has more than 30 3D printing systems at its site in Parma. The company runs one of the biggest 3D printing production centers. The firm makes metal pieces for sectors such a automotive, motorsport, aerospace, and energy. BEAMIT looks to strengthen its place in the 3D printing business.
By purchasing stake in PRES-X, BEAMIT doing this through shifting its concentration to state-of-the-art post-processing abilities.
