ADDMIO, an additive manufacturing e-learning firm based in the Netherlands will unveil its premiere tutorial course today. The course is called 3D Printing for Entrepreneurs.

The course is completely based online. It summarizes 5 years of experience in the additive manufacturing sector store floor in three days. Addmio founder, Robin Huizing sought to make the program so as to deal with the lack of good quality, application-focused instructional materials for additive manufacturing businesses today.
“If there’s one thing that can make an impact in our industry right now it’s education, that’s the reason I started addm.io. I want to do for education what Autodesk did for cad software”
It’s available through Kickstarter on May 4th starting at 9 am PT. All users can access the 3D Printing for Entrepreneurs program by promising $89 or more.
Earlier, Huizing has served as an additive manufacturing engineer at 3Shapeways, D printing marketplace and service bureau. While there, he run different 3D printers from the likes of 3D Systems and EOS, and directed several research projects.
After that, Huizing then moved on to be a 3D printing Additive Manufacturing Designer at Metal PBF system maker Additive Industrie. This is where he was in charge of sketching and printing inside designs and demonstrator pieces, organized benchmark prints, and others.
Additionally, Huizing has gotten comprehensive experience tutoring and training individuals in additive manufacturing. This has helped him to offer lectures, presentations, masterclasses, and workshops on topics such as Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM). He says nevertheless, that these instructional designs were old.
“After a while, I realized that I was not making a difference. These ways of sharing knowledge were not scalable.”
Because of that, he started to research various training courses and programs and decided that many of the courses were usually on location, expensive, and lengthy. On the contrary, affordable alternatives made offerings on their quality level and only comprised general information.
Responding to this, Huizing established Addmio to offer cheap, application-specific programs that can be obtained at any time, anywhere, utilizing a browser on mobile or desktop platforms. Its convenience for individuals all over the universe at the same time implies that Addmio has been able to lower course costs.
The 3D Printing for Entrepreneurs courses focuses on helping users to start successful additive manufacturing businesses. It will show them how to choose the ideal application for additive manufacturing and will utilize certain specific instances to show these use circumstances.
